  7. Click Apply.

  11. Select "Get Payroll Updates."
  12. Check the box for "Download Entire Update."
  13. Click on Download Latest Updates.
  14. Wait for the confirmation message.
  15. You will see "Download Complete."
  16. Restart your computer.

Solution 2: Review Internet Explorer Settings

  1. Launch Internet Explorer.
  2. Click on Tools in the menu.
  3. Select Internet Options from the dropdown list.
  4. Go to the Security tab.
  5. Click on the Globe icon to represent the Internet zone.
  6. Set the security level to medium-high or low.
  7. Switch to the Connections tab.
  8. Select Never Dial a Connection if you don’t use dial-up. If you do, choose your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click on LAN Settings.
  11. Ensure Automatically detect settings is checked.
  12. Uncheck the Use a Proxy Server box.
  13. Click OK.
  14. Go to the Advanced tab.
  15. Click on Restore Advanced Settings.
  16. In the Settings section, find Use TLS 1.2 and make sure it is checked.
  17. Click OK.
  18. Close Internet Explorer.
  19. Restart your computer.
  20. Open QuickBooks Desktop.
  21. Try the update again.
